This is the source package for Pass 1 (Codex coverage audit) and Pass 2 (Claude Code retargeting). Every source Pass 1 walks is listed below with its current path, type, pinning, §3 disposition (where determinable), and notes on known §22-style sections.

## Pinning convention

For each source:
- **Commit** — git commit hash if file is committed; `uncommitted` if file is in working tree but not yet committed.
- **Sha256** — first 12 chars of `sha256sum` output at Pass 0 freeze time. Pass 1/2 verify the file is unchanged by recomputing this; if it differs, the source has drifted and Will must refresh the snapshot.
- **Mtime** — filesystem mtime at freeze time (helpful for narrative; sha256 is authoritative).
- **Size** — file size in bytes at freeze time.

## Notes for Pass 1

1. **Stage 5R2 status:** `patches_applied`. Pass 1 may proceed in parallel with Stage 5R2 regression review per Sequencing table in proposal §7. Pass 1 walks coverage; does not make retargeting decisions.

2. **Pass 2 gate:** Pass 2 cannot start until (a) Pass 1 complete + architect decisions resolved, AND (b) Stage 5R2 regression review ratified + baseline snapshot refreshed if 5R2b changes any DOC80 baseline file. If the regression review forces edits to Skeletal Baseline / Owner Map / Import Graph / Retired Names, refresh `baseline_snapshot/` before Pass 2 runs.

3. **Uncommitted files:** most inputs are in the working tree but not yet committed. Sha256 hashes serve as the freeze proxy. Pass 1/2 should re-verify sha256 before reading any source; a mismatch means Will edited the source after Pass 0 — request a snapshot refresh.

4. **Master Spec List header narrative:** the canonical `MASTER_SPEC_DOCUMENT_LIST.md` header has accumulated thousands of characters of audit narrative (R3.62 → R3.61 → R3.60 → ...). Pass 1 may read the structured §3/§4/§11 tables for entry counts; treat the narrative header as informational only.

5. **DOC73 folder structure:** DOC73 is no longer a single file; it's a folder of artifacts (V1.5.1 FINAL legacy + Artifact1-5 splits + V1.6 build artifacts + helper docs). When walking DOC73 for §22-style sections, walk all files; treat the folder as "one DOC73 entity" for §3 purposes.

6. **Per-DOC subfolder layout:** all specs under `Current Specs/<DOC#>/`. A subfolder may hold parent spec + addenda + proposals + helpers. Pass 1's corpus classification (Task A) operates at the spec entity level, not the file level — multiple files for one DOC# bucket together.
